More than 5,000 holidaymakers had booked a Royal Caribbean cruise to the Bahamas, but the ship changed course at the last minute and headed for Canada instead. The passengers had packed for warm weather, while temperatures in Canada were reported to have remained at 12 degrees Celsius.
