Pien Wijsman, 31, from Rotterdam, ran a marathon in 2025 while experiencing severe headaches, nausea and dizziness that had continued for weeks. A week after the marathon, doctors reportedly found a brain aneurysm that she described as being about the size of an Easter egg. Wijsman said she had accepted that she was no longer quite the same.
