A rotten-egg smell reported in Hengelo-Zuid was initially attributed to an incorrectly adjusted air blower operated by Cleaning Twente, and was said to have been resolved. A later update said that children's bedrooms still smelled of rotten eggs and that residents were expected to notice a strong sulfur smell again during the week. Cleaning Twente responded, but it was not reported when the smell would disappear.
