Part of the roof of events centre The Maxx in Veenendaal collapsed during storm Boelo on the night from Saturday to Sunday. The collapse caused extensive water and mud damage, including major damage to the kart track.

The venue is closed for the time being and may remain largely closed for months because of the damage.
