The cycle path on the Rokin near Dam Square was closed for outbound cyclists because tram tracks between the Rokin-Dam intersection and around Papenbroekssteeg are being replaced. The closure is expected to last about another month, with traffic controllers directing cyclists to detours via Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal and Spui during the day.

Trams continued running through 1 November, after which lines 4 and 14 are shortened to Vijzelgracht from 2 through 21 November. Access via the Rokin further into the city centre remains possible for cyclists and motorists.
