Rob van Vliet, a 66-year-old from Breda, returned to the stage with his band Vankelderen six months after suffering a cerebral infarction. His neurologist had told him six months earlier that playing guitar might no longer be possible. Van Vliet said the connection he felt when playing with his band again was most important to him.
