Work on the Gooiseweg and Spiekeweg near Zeewolde is almost complete, according to the province of Flevoland. Since the end of June, asphalt and parts of the road foundations have been renewed, sections of the Gooiseweg have been widened and new traffic portals installed. On the Spiekeweg, bicycle paths and the bridge over the Hoge Vaart were also renovated, with new handrails and an additional separation between the roadway and bicycle path.

The Spiekeweg is due to reopen to motorists on Friday, while the remaining work is completed over the following two weeks. To thank road users for the detours, a free coffee and snack will be available on Monday 9 November from 07:00 to 09:00 at the petrol station at Assemblyweg 2A in Zeewolde.
