Rise in stress-related absenteeism reported

Company doctor Boyd Thijssens said that, compared with eight years ago, his offices now see more employees suffering from stress, workload, conflicts and care responsibilities at home, rather than mainly back, neck and shoulder problems. Psychological absenteeism has increased by 51 percent since 2018, according to the figures cited.

Thijssens said that good executives play an important role, but no further details were reported.
