Planned increase in reward for information on Bolle Jos

The Dutch Public Prosecution Service is expected to raise the reward for information leading to the arrest of fugitive drug criminal Jos Leijdekkers, known as Bolle Jos, to at least €2 million. The increase has not been officially announced and could take effect the following week.
The current reward is €200,000. If introduced, the new amount would be at least ten times higher and the largest reward offered in Dutch criminal history. Authorities hope it will encourage people in Sierra Leone and elsewhere in West Africa to provide information on Leijdekkers’s whereabouts and movements.
