Residents of the Hemdijk neighborhood in Sneek reportedly said they were dissatisfied with the management of the Spoordok nature and recreation area. They had sent an urgent letter to the municipality of Súdwest-Fryslân five years earlier, but said that nothing had changed since then.

The account characterized the area as neglected and said residents felt they were being left to deal with the situation themselves. No further measures or changes were reported.
