Reported US interest in an agreement with Mohsen Rezaei

Mohsen Rezaei was described as a potential Iranian counterpart with whom the United States wanted to reach an agreement to prevent a new war. He was also described as wanted by Interpol over possible involvement in a terrorist attack and was accused of sending tens of thousands of children to their deaths during the Iran-Iraq War and of possibly being responsible for the death of his own son. These allegations were presented without further substantiation.
