Real Madrid called for the immediate resignation of Javier Tebas as president of LaLiga and vice-president of the Spanish football federation after he compared the club’s methods to Nazi propaganda associated with Joseph Goebbels.

Tebas had criticised Real Madrid TV’s coverage of refereeing decisions, saying it resembled propaganda tactics through repeated messaging, the creation of an enemy and selective presentation of facts. Real Madrid described the comparison as unacceptable and extremely serious, and said Tebas’s conduct was incompatible with his institutional responsibilities.
