Randstad’s third-quarter results

Randstad reported growth in the third quarter after a strong first half of the year. Chief executive Sander van ’t Noordende said the company is growing again in three quarters of the markets where it operates, including the United States, France and the Netherlands, while demand for temporary workers also increased in the Netherlands.

Revenue rose 3.9 percent to about €6.12 billion, and net profit increased 33 percent from a year earlier to €110 million. The results exceeded analysts’ expectations.
