Raamplein luxury apartment development

Amsterdam’s Centrum district committee called on the municipal council to remove the exemption from the 40-40-20 housing mix requirement for projects with fewer than 11 homes, either soon or in the 2029 Housing Plan. The committee said the exemption had been used for a plan by Reinout Oerlemans’s company to build 10 luxury apartments at the former Handelsschool on Raamplein, rather than including social and mid-market rentals. The plan had previously involved 18 apartments.
