The Kadaster reported that more than a quarter of the homes expected to be built in the coming years are planned in the Netherlands’ four largest municipalities. The study was based on homes that had already been authorised or were under construction.

It also found that apartments will make up a substantially larger share of future housing, while being slightly smaller in floor area on average.
