Pumpkins have reportedly grown beyond their traditional use in soup. Garden centers are now filling with pumpkins and decorated autumn displays, while families are travelling tens of kilometers for days focused on viewing pumpkins. Monique Biere, who was with her two daughters, described such an outing as enjoyable and sociable, with the atmosphere and weather adding to it.
