The Public Prosecution Service sought 18 months in prison in Zwolle against Jan Riemeijer, a former CDA leader and accountant from Zuidhorn, over alleged fraud involving corona support. Riemeijer acknowledged that he should have been more critical when forwarding applications for the support; prosecutors described the conduct as a serious abuse of emergency measures. Two years and one year each were sought against three co-defendants.
