Meierijstad proposed charging category C events €1.50 per paying visitor per day. The municipality said the levy is intended to compensate for the use of local infrastructure and facilities; it would affect Paaspop, Harmony of Hardcore and 7th Sunday Festival and is expected to raise about €307,500 a year. An earlier proposed rate of €3 was halved.
