Museum Natura Docet in Denekamp faced possible closure unless it received additional funding. Dinkelland’s municipal executive proposed making up to €135,000 available, with the municipal council due to decide on 27 October.

The reports differed on the immediate amount needed: one put it at €135,000, while a later report said €50,000 was needed before 1 November. The museum’s board said it would close on 1 November without support; an earlier report gave 31 October as the closure date.
