The municipality of Noardeast-Fryslân has designated the former Dokwurk social-workshop site at Holwerderweg 21 in Dokkum as its preferred location for an asylum seeker reception centre. The site would accommodate 214 asylum seekers.

The municipal council is to decide on the proposal a week before Christmas.
