Police stopped a pro-Palestinian march at Waterlooplein after several hundred demonstrators, who had gathered on Dam Square, attempted to continue along a route police did not allow. The demonstrators then went to the Stopera, where the Mobile Unit later intervened. Mayor Halsema disbanded the demonstration after participants unexpectedly changed route and did not follow police instructions. Earlier, tensions briefly rose when a counter-protester displayed a sign; the counter-protester was protected and escorted away.
