Preparations for the Amsterdam Music Festival at the Johan Cruijff Arena were compressed because Ajax was scheduled to play Atalanta there on Thursday night, two days before the event. Technicians had begun pre-rigging work in the roof, including installing cables, while aiming not to affect the match.

The festival’s organizer said the usual week-long access to the stadium was unavailable. Work was set to continue on Friday with hundreds of workers, including the installation of 1,400 square metres of LED screens, ahead of AMF on Saturday night from 8 p.m.
