Practice support staff trained to address mental health concerns in people with cancer

Nearly 1,000 practice support staff have been trained over the past two years to identify and guide mental health concerns among people with cancer and those who have had the disease, KWF Cancer Control said. The organization said this improves treatment and support and reduces pressure on mental health care. According to KWF, one in three people with cancer or a history of the disease needs care and support beyond the treatment itself.
