Possible airspace violation near Lublin and air alarm in Lithuania

Poland was investigating reports of an unidentified flying object that may have entered its airspace. An army search-and-rescue team was looking south of Lublin for a possible impact site, while the violation remained unconfirmed. Authorities in the Lublin area received reports around 2 p.m. of a loud object in the sky, and police said similar reports came from near the Zemborzycki Reservoir and Łęczna. The army was also examining whether a recorded radar signal could have been caused by a meteorological phenomenon.

An air alarm was later activated in Lithuania after another unidentified flying object was detected, and residents in parts of the country were told to go to shelters. NATO fighter aircraft were deployed and Kaunas Airport was closed, but the alarm was lifted after about an hour. A limited air alert was also in force in parts of neighbouring Latvia near the Lithuanian border.
