Erasmus University Rotterdam added 48 portraits of female professors to the portrait collection in its main building, which had consisted mainly of male professors. The additions, made since the summer, are intended to make women in senior academic posts more visible. Family sociologist and professor Renske Keizer, whose portrait was included, said female academic role models remain needed.
