Police seek information about two suspects in Breda cases

Police in Breda are seeking information about two men shown in the television program Bureau Brabant in connection with separate incidents. In one case, a man allegedly robbed the Gall & Gall liquor store on Pastor van Spaandonkstraat on the afternoon of 25 August while threatening an employee with a large knife. He reportedly said he needed money because his father was ill, took cash and a bottle of alcohol, and fled. The amount of money taken has not been disclosed. Another man who arrived at the store turned away and called the police after noticing something suspicious.

In the other case, a resident of Brahmslaan was allegedly defrauded on 31 March by a man posing as a police officer named Wesley Bonker. A woman had first called the resident and said that burglars had been arrested nearby, then announced that a colleague would visit. The resident let the man inside and gave him access to money, jewellery and bank cards. The man left claiming he was going to collect a security bracelet and did not return; suspicious transactions were subsequently blocked. Police said footage from the resident’s doorbell showed the suspect, who has black hair and wore a black Jordan puffer coat with white ear sections, and asked anyone who recognized him or his voice to come forward.
