Police officers, firefighters and special investigating officers can experience traumatic events in their work that may result in post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Songül Mutluer (PvdA), together with D66 and CDA, submitted an initiative paper aimed at addressing the issue. An officer who experienced PTSD himself spoke about it.
