A police motorcycle was reported to have been traveling in the wrong direction on the race route during the Tre Valli Varesine and to have hit two riders from the Pinarello Q36.5 team at Pinarello. Tom Pidcock, who finished second, criticized the organization afterward and said riders should not have to risk their lives to race.
