A police car ended up in a ditch in Haarlem during a chase on the afternoon of November 5. Police said officers had wanted to stop and check another car, but its driver ignored a stop sign and fled. The fleeing driver was arrested, and the officer involved was not injured.

An eyewitness said the incident happened near a car park at around 12:30. The police car was later to be removed from the ditch by a salvage company. The identity of the arrested driver had not been released.
