Playmobil dolls used in therapy for adults with learning difficulties

Game therapist Aline Daniels in Aalsmeer uses Playmobil dolls in therapy for adults with learning difficulties, including clients with behavioral or social and emotional difficulties. The dolls help clients who find it hard to express themselves in words, and can represent emotions or people involved in their experiences. Clients can choose a doll that resembles them, which is then kept for their future sessions.

An appeal for donations has brought Daniels a collection of vintage Playmobil dolls. She is still seeking dolls with varied skin tones, hair colors and appearances, as well as accessories, so that each client can have a suitable doll.
