Diakonessenhuis on Bosboomstraat in Utrecht is set to undergo a major renovation in the coming years. The plans include a new five-storey building, another main entrance, an underground parking area and a greener setting. Patient rooms and several departments are also due to be renewed.

If the schedule proceeds as planned, construction of the new building will begin in 2028 and the first patients could arrive in 2031.
