The lifting and placement of the Daniel den Hoedbrug began on Saturday morning in Rotterdam. The bridge connects the cancer department of Erasmus MC with the Daniel den Hoed Family House. In the afternoon, volunteers and guests of the family house watched from a window as the final section was installed.

The bridge had been described as long awaited.
