Peter Berdowski said there were two types of reorganisation: an organic variant and a crisis variant. He recalled that before joining Boskalis, he had worked for ten years at the Rotterdam consultancy Krekel van der Woerd Wouterse and, before that, for nearly a year at Shell’s laboratory in Amsterdam as a newly promoted chemist. He said the most important step in his career was moving from Shell to KWW, which he regarded as the most formative part of his working life.
