An attempted robbery took place at jeweller Steiner on Stokstraat in central Maastricht on Monday morning. Police were seeking two suspects.

Reports differed on the number of people injured: two reports said two people were hurt, while a later report said one person was injured. The injured person was taken to hospital; an earlier report said another person was treated at the scene. Police could not say whether those injured were employees of the jeweller.
