A pearl was found on Friday in an oyster served at brasserie Pastis. The find was described alongside earlier unusual discoveries in food, including a lump in a bowl of double custard in Uden that caused several days of diarrhea, poisoned chocolates given to a doctor in Bernhoven, and a dead mouse found in bread bought in Eindhoven in 2015. Pieces of a mouse were later found in sliced bread in Helmond.
