Several passengers reportedly became ill during a flight from Rhodes to Düsseldorf on Sunday night, prompting the crew to raise the alarm. Emergency services, including ambulances and fire trucks, were sent to Düsseldorf Airport, and two passengers were taken to hospital after landing.

The illness was linked to an abdominal virus affecting the Greek island, but it was not established that the virus caused the passengers’ symptoms.
