Les Engagés chairman Yvan Verougstraete and CD&V chairman Sammy Mahdi, the first two of five leaders of Belgium’s governing coalition, met King Filip over the budget crisis. Verougstraete called for a fair sharing of the burden and contributions according to wealth, while Mahdi said a solution should be found quickly.
