Amsterdam Zuid station was due to open the new Brittenpassage passenger hall on 1 November. The 15-metre-wide passage, built since 2019 about 200 metres west of the Minervapassage, includes lifts, shops and indoor bicycle parking for 2,000 bicycles.
The Minervapassage was due to close for a multi-year renovation when the new passage opened. It is planned to continue providing access to trains and the metro, as well as shops and bicycle parking, after the work. A festival in the Minervapassage was planned to mark its farewell and the opening of the Brittenpassage.
