Six people in the municipality of Súdwest-Fryslân have objected to an increase in the starting rate for taxi rides under WMO transport. The rate rose by €1 per one-way trip, or €2 per return trip, on 1 January 2026. For some users, this means costs of tens of euros a month and hundreds of euros a year. Some of the objectors have been waiting a year for a response to their objections. One said the objection was not only being made for personal reasons.
