Court did not extend Marius Borg Høiby’s remand detention

5 sources

A court did not extend the remand detention of Marius Borg Høiby, son of Norway’s Crown Princess Mette-Marit, despite the prosecution’s request for a four-week extension. Høiby had sought to have his detention lifted, and his lawyers had also requested the involvement of two forensic-toxicology experts in his appeal. He had not yet been released after the decision because the prosecution appealed it. The reports did not state the outcome of that appeal or his current custodial status.
