De Ronde Venen municipality has not yet found a suitable location for the reception of asylum seekers, despite examining 50 sites and buildings. Reports that asylum seekers would be housed in a hotel in Vinkeveen were denied.

Under the Distribution Act, the municipality is required to establish reception places for 264 asylum seekers.
