Lelystad Airport is expected to remain closed to flights between 23:00 and 06:00 when it opens for holiday flights from October 2027, with exceptional landings permitted until midnight. The Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management said it is not working on wider opening hours, despite concerns from the Club Direct Neighbors and resident representatives from Dronten and Zeewolde about possible sleep disruption.

The ministry is revising the 2015 airport decision. It said the existing opening hours remain the starting point, but that the final hours will be set in a new airport decision after further debate in the House of Representatives and decision-making by the Council of Ministers.
