Prosecutors sought a nine-year prison sentence for 34-year-old Faristha S. on a manslaughter charge over the death of her 10-month-old son. They alleged that she shook the child on 14 April 2023, causing severe brain injuries. The child died in hospital on 9 May 2023. Faristha S. says she has been falsely accused.
