Police were carrying out another investigation in the Roggebotsebos in Dronten in the case of missing person Marc Jaskulski. A police spokesperson said there was a concrete reason to resume the search, but could not say what exactly was being investigated. Police were reportedly present near the traffic lights on the Oudebosweg.

Jaskulski disappeared in April 2024, and his phone last connected to a cell tower near the forest. His bicycle was found earlier, but there has been no further trace of him. Police initially considered several scenarios, including one related to a lack of medication for his illness and an accident, but now assume he became the victim of a crime. Jaskulski was reportedly due to meet someone through Grindr on 15 April 2024. Bone material found at that time was not his; investigators are still determining whose human remains they were.
