The municipality of Enschede, the province of Overijssel, the University of Twente and chipmaker New Origin said feasible solutions have been identified for the electricity and water supplies needed for a planned factory at Kennispark in Enschede. The parties said this brings the project closer despite pressure on the electricity grid.

Construction plans are continuing, and production is planned to begin in 2029.
