The Netherlands finished third at the 79th Motocross of Nations in Ernée, France. Belgium won the team world title, its 16th and first since 2013, ahead of Spain; Belgium finished three points clear of Spain. The Dutch team comprised Jeffrey Herlings, Roan van de Moosdijk and Glenn Coldenhoff, who replaced the injured Kay de Wolf. Herlings won the second and third races, while Van de Moosdijk was the best Dutch rider in the first race, finishing ninth. That race was won by France's Romain Febvre.
