Neighbors object to planned accommodation for displaced Ukrainians in Drunen

The municipality of Heusden plans to use the former fire station on Wilhelminastraat in Drunen from March 2027 to accommodate up to 45 displaced Ukrainians. Several neighbors objected, citing concerns about privacy, additional residents and possible nuisance, including being watched by people looking at them.
The plan remains under consideration; no decision beyond the municipality’s intention to use the building was reported.
