Nathalie Baartman’s debut on the television quiz show De Slimste Mens drew attention. During the introductions, the Twente cabaret performer sang and yodeled a semi-erotic song from Twente, and in her first two episodes she also moaned and came close to being the smartest contestant of the day.

Baartman said she would do it again despite describing the experience as extremely intense. She was reported to have produced at least three notable television moments within the two episodes.
