NAC failed to record a third consecutive victory after drawing 2-2 with Vitesse. The team, coached by Rick Kruys, played better attacking football but again showed defensive vulnerability, particularly in a disappointing second half. Brym continued his good form. NAC had conceded eight goals in its previous four matches, and Kruys acknowledged that his playing style demands considerable energy from the players. He said the team would need to improve if it wanted to earn promotion, while indicating that he would not make concessions to that style.
