The N325 between Beek and Nijmegen was due to close on Monday for work on a dangerous crossing. For a month, drivers travelling from Germany towards the Waalbrug in Nijmegen, and in the opposite direction, would have to take a detour. The closure was expected to affect about 20,000 drivers.
